Louisiana is divided into nine districts with a District Director elected from each to serve on the LMEA Board of Directors. District Directors serve a two-year term and are elected in odd numbered years.

The name of nominees for District Director should be submitted to the past president at the Annual Professional Development Conference, but no later than December 31.

Caldwell, Catahoula, Claiborne, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union, and West Carroll Parishes
