I hope all of you are rested, energized, and looking forward to a rewarding and successful school year.  LA-ACDA is busy preparing an exciting state convention for this October 29-31.  Two new events will debut at this year’s Fall Vocal Conference—a men’s honor choir and a conductor’s choir.  These in addition to the collegiate, children’s (formerly elementary), youth (formerly junior high), and women’s honor choirs, guest clinicians, reading sessions, choral performances, and other highlights promise to make this year’s convention one you should all attend.  For more information on honor choirs, hotel, and registration please visit our newly reconstructed website (MUCH thanks to Russ Givens) at www.laacda.org.  Please remember to pre-register this year as it is the only way to guarantee receiving the reading packets and attending the luncheon. 

Remember that you will no longer receive The Choral Advocate in paper form.  It is now on the website.  Hope to see you all in Baton Rouge!
